National construction and development specialist Southdale are celebrating two award wins at this year’s highly coveted Considerate Constructor Awards.

Site Manager Luke Darby was presented with a Bronze award for Westfield Estate – a new build development of 108 family homes in Loftus and Senior Site Manager Terry Wray received a Silver award for Camberwell Way Phase ‘C’– a new build scheme of 122 affordable houses in Hull.

The prestigious awards ceremony, which is one of 11 being held across the country, is testament to the industry’s commitment to demonstrating the codes of considerate best practice - which is helping to improve the overall image of the construction sector. 

Winning one of these accolades goes some way to helping to differentiate outstanding construction firms who consistently go ‘the extra mile’ by helping to consider the communities where they are working and the effects that their construction work can have on other stakeholder groups.

The ceremony was held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on Thursday 31^stMarch 2011 and was attended by over 27 construction firms including the team from Southdale, whose two sites are now in the top 7 per cent of all sites completed last year.

Regional Director for Southdale, Stuart Allison said: “I am delighted to congratulate two of our Site Managers in receiving the Considerate Constructor Awards for their outstanding performance on sites in Loftus and Hull.”

This in turn helps to raise performance standards within our industry.”
