Hill Top Point

One of the first developments in the country to be built to Code for Sustainable Homes standards.

Developer: Irwell Valley Housing Association
Architect: Nicol Thomas
Completed: July 2008
Location: Worsley, Manchester

Hill Top Point developed by Southdale for Irwell Valley Housing Association provides four 2-bedroom and two 3-bedroom houses for shared ownership. The timber-framed properties are concealed by a brick exterior used to give a traditional appearance, in keeping with the local area.

The low cost houses are well insulated which combined with a solar water heating system reduces carbon emission and running costs as featured by the zero carbon HUB.
